If one is struggling for things to do mid-week- why not channel your inner screen star and watch some spiffingly classic 1950’s movies. George and I absolutely love nothing more than relaxing with a glass of Crabbie’s and settling down to a good film. Here is a list of our favourites:
- Annie Get Your Gun- A rousing musical comedy starring Betty Hutton and Howard Keel- simply perfect for if you want need an April pick-me-up
- Forbidden Planet- This is one of George’s favourite films of all-time. The science fiction era saw a huge boom in the 1950s and this is the perfect choice for all sci-fi buffs!
- Strangers on a Train- one simply cannot mention the 1950s film era with mentioning the spiffing Alfred Hitchcock. Strangers on a Train is an eery psychological thriller in which Alfred Hitchcock makes a cameo 11 minutes into the film. Scary, spiffing and so 1950s!
